Today is Megan's 13th birthday. As with any of my children at 12:43am this morning my phone alarm went off and I took a moment and remembered that day. Labor was not very long but I remember the doctor coming in and telling me that I needed to push that her heart beat was going down to fast. When she came out the cord was wrap around her neck so tight thatshe was blue and the doctor could not get his finger under the cord to cut it. So all he could do is clamp the cord and cut it. They took her right down to the nursery so they could make sure everything was ok. As a parent that was the most scarest thing I have ever been through. That morning I was going into have my tubes tied so I didn't get to hold her until almost 5pm that evening. They had already started her on the bottle so I was not able to breast feed but that was ok because I knew she was ok and I just enjoyed having her finally in my arms. As I look over the years I see she is growing into a very pretty young lady and I can only wish that God keeps her in his hands like he did that day she was born. So I wish meny years of birthday wishes and Remember Megan mommy loves you with all my heart.
Well I worked most of the weekend so I really did see much of anyone. For the rest of the family they got the ditch bank cleaned so the water flows, the yard got mowed and trimmed, the boys burned all the brush and the tree limbs that was in the yard for the past couple of weeks. Not much got done in the house but thats was ok because I needed some sleep. I will so hte inside this week due to not working much. I hope everyone had a great weekend and enjoyed the sunshine.
Megan got good news on Sunday. When she tried out for cheerleading this year. She was only able to get basketball but as of Sunday the coach called and asked see if she would like to do football to. I guess one of the 6th graders dropped out and she was the next one in line to do both basketball and football. So her summer just got busy!!!! Megan I am so proud of you keep up the good work. They grow up so fast!!!!
I need everyone to mark you calenders! As you seen my little girl will be graduating from high school on May 29th 2010 at 2pm at McComb High School. She will need all the surport she can get to help her start her life as an adult.( or maybe I will need the surport to get through it) I can remember just like it was yesterday. Gettin out of bed about every 2 hours to give her a bottle, change her pants, or just to hold her because she decided to be a wake. Patience has been there through everything with me. There has been times that I wish I could erase some of the memories so she didn't have to remember the really bad times. She plans to go to Owens after gratuation to get her nursing degree and hopefully to graduate from OSU with her degree. More information will come when the when the time gets closer.
Some of you may take that the wrong way!!!! I am trying to put a slide show on my blog. I have tried everyway that I can and it will not let me get the code to down load it.I have tried the way you told me to Holly and it still won't work. If anyone has any ideas please let me know. Thank you
Last night I watched Jennifer's Kids (a girl from work) well Patience and Megan kinda took over. She has 3 kids 3yrs,2yrs,and one about 8 months. I really did not do much the girl knda stepped in and played mom. The girls made sure the kids ate, they gave them a bath and got them ready for bed (movie). The girls realized how much it takes to be a parent. with a small one in the house it wasn't really quite here. Megan came to me and told me "I know why moms are always tired babies don't stop crying!!!". It was kinda nice to have a baby around the house, the kids tried to talk Rosoe into another a baby brother or sister around the house but he wouldn't go for it. I couldn't help but to take this picture. After trying so hard Patience finally got Caleb to go to sleep. Due to the hard work she passed out before she put him in his seat. I have been told by my girls that they DO NOT want kids.
Mother's Day is right around the corner. I want to take this time to thank my mom for all the things that she has done for me. If I wasn't for her and my dad I am not sure where I would be right now. I know most of you know that my grandparents adopted me at age 5years old. My oldest sister couldn't take care of me and instead of the state coming and taking me away. They went in front of the judge and asked to see if they could keep me. To this day I can not thank them enough, because of the love they had I grew into a loving wife and understanding mother and a child in God. I know they will not be able to see this but I still want to thank them for everything they have done and still do for me. I also want to wish a very special Mother's Day to all my moms out there.
Prom is finally over and our house is starting to get back to normal. Austin and Magan is glad that the madhouse as ended and Devon and Patience is almost done recuperating from all the last night hours on decorating and getting ready for that big night. Here are some pictures so you can see how thier night went.(bare with me I haven't figured out how to put pictures on the post yet) All I have to say is that Roscoe and I went back in time for a short monment and and had the time of our lives.
